Andal (community development block) (also spelled Ondal) is an administrative division in Durgapur subdivision of Bardhaman district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Andal and Durgapur police stations serve this block. Headquarters of this block is at Andal More and Andal. Dakshin Khanda, Mahira, Kajora, Harishpur, Palashban, Dignala, Andal, Baska, Siduli, Khandra, Ukhra and Dhandadihi are urban areas in this block. The census towns Chak Bankola and Parashkol are both partly in Andal block and partly in Pandabeswar block. ==Geography== Andal is located at . Andal community development block has an area of 84.78 km2.〔 The Asansol-Durgapur region is composed of undulating laterite soil. This area lies between two rivers – the Damodar and the Ajay. They flow almost parallel to each other in the region – the average distance between the two rivers is around 30 km. For ages the area was heavily forested and infested with plunderers and marauders.
